Sharayne Douglas, MA, RMFTI, is a dedicated and compassionate therapist at Genesis Counseling, providing therapy in our Coral Springs office and virtually throughout Florida. She specializes in working with teens, young adults, and diverse populations, helping clients navigate self-esteem challenges, self-image concerns, mood disorders, and relationship issues.

Sharayne earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, specializing in Marriage & Family Therapy. As a Registered Marriage & Family Therapist Intern in Florida, she is diligently completing her licensure hours while offering high-quality therapeutic care.

At the core of her practice is the therapeutic alliance, which she values above all else. She creates a safe, culturally sensitive, and trauma-informed space, ensuring that clients feel comfortable exploring vulnerability, personal growth, and healing. She takes a solution-focused and humanistic approach, incorporating psychoeducation and tailored interventions to support clients both inside and outside of therapy.

With over eight years of experience, Sharayne has worked with children, adults, families, and couples (ages 5-35) facing anxiety, depression, substance use, life transitions, grief, LGBTQ+ identity-related concerns, and social issues. As an ASCA-Certified School Counselor, she is also skilled in helping children manage academic, behavioral, and social challenges.

Her goal in therapy is to help clients feel truly seen, supported, and empowered. She fosters meaningful conversations and insights that lead to personal growth, self-discovery, and lasting change.

As an Independent Contractor with Genesis Counseling, Sharayne is in-network with United Healthcare, Optum, Oscar, Cigna, Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Florida Blue, Humana, and Tricare East. She also accepts private pay clients, with fees ranging from $125–$175.
