Deborah Vadell is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (L.M.F.T.) with over 30 years of experience in the mental health field, specializing in working with adults, couples, families, and geriatric populations. She earned her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in 1995.
Throughout her career, Deborah has developed a deep commitment to the therapeutic connection and the trust clients place in the therapeutic relationship. She values the process of helping clients discover their inner strengths and celebrates their resilience and empowerment as they make strides toward their goals. Deborah believes in meeting clients where they are, respecting their journey, and being present during the transformative moments in therapy.
Her therapeutic approach integrates Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing. She tailors her treatment methods to the unique needs of each client, whether they are focused on future-oriented goal setting, working through negative thought patterns, or engaging in the early stages of change. Deborah’s approach is grounded in building strong therapeutic alliances, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for each client’s growth and self-discovery.
Deborah has extensive experience in treating a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, obsessive-compulsive behavior, bereavement, and substance abuse. She has also worked with clients navigating life adjustments and phase-of-life concerns. In addition, she has training in Motivational Interviewing and is a Qualified Supervisor, further enhancing her ability to guide and support her clients effectively.

As an Independent Contractor with Genesis Counseling, Deborah is in-network with United Healthcare, Optum, Oscar, Cigna, Aetna, BlueCrossBlueShield, Florida Blue, Humana, and Tricare East. She also accepts private pay clients, with rates ranging from $175 to $275.
