Stephanie Ramsumair, RMHCI
Child & Teen Therapist
Boca Raton Office
Stephanie earned her Master of Science in Psychology from Keiser University in 2023. She approaches therapy with a deep commitment to creating a space rooted in safety, trust, and authentic connection, where clients feel respected, understood, and free from judgment. SA believes that healing begins within a strong therapeutic relationship and views therapy as a collaborative partnership built on compassion and mutual respect.
Her clinical approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and client-centered. Stephanie tailors treatment to each individual’s unique needs, drawing from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), mindfulness-based interventions, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Narrative Therapy. She works closely with clients to identify unhelpful thought patterns, strengthen internal motivation, build emotional regulation skills, and re-author personal narratives in empowering ways. Stephanie regularly checks in with clients to ensure that therapy remains aligned with their goals, preferences, and progress.
Stephanie’s goal in therapy is to provide a supportive and empowering environment where clients feel truly heard and encouraged to make meaningful, lasting changes. She brings active listening, curiosity, flexibility, and a nonjudgmental presence to each session, walking alongside clients as they navigate healing and personal growth.
Stephanie brings valuable experience from her work with the Florida Department of Children and Families, where she supported individuals and families in high-stress and trauma-sensitive situations. Her background includes working with trauma survivors, children and adolescents impacted by abuse or neglect, families navigating crisis or high-conflict dynamics, and individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, PTSD, and substance-related concerns. She has also worked extensively with culturally diverse and historically underserved populations and is mindful of the impact of systemic barriers and intergenerational trauma.
In addition to her clinical training, Stephanie has completed specialized training in Motivational Interviewing, Mental Health First Aid, trauma-informed investigation techniques, child sexual abuse, and locating and recovering missing children. These experiences have strengthened her skills in assessment, crisis intervention, and goal-oriented care.
As a Clinical Staff Therapist with Genesis Counseling, Stephanie is in-network with United Healthcare, Optum, Oscar, Cigna, Aetna, FL Blue (BCBS), Curative, and Tricare East, and she also accepts private pay clients, with session fees ranging from $175–$275.
Stephanie wants clients to know that she brings both compassion and resilience into the therapy room. Shaped by her experience she meets clients exactly where they are – calmly, transparently, and without judgment. She believes each person is the expert of their own story and is committed to helping clients uncover their strengths, process their experiences, and move toward the life they want to build in a space where they feel supported, empowered, and safe.
