Victoria Lord earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2025. She is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care in a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. Victoria welcomes clients across the lifespan and believes that every individual deserves an approach tailored to their unique experiences, strengths, and goals.
Victoria has a particular passion for working with individuals who have experienced trauma and those navigating substance use concerns. Throughout her training and clinical experience, she has worked with clients experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), adjustment disorders, personality disorders, schizophrenia spectrum and other psychotic disorders, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), suicidal ideation, domestic violence, community violence, migration-related stress, and substance use disorders. She is committed to helping clients find healing, resilience, and hope while navigating life’s most difficult challenges.
Victoria believes that the foundation of successful therapy is a trusting and collaborative relationship. She values creating a space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to openly explore their experiences. She recognizes that meaningful change develops over time through trust, honest communication, and a willingness to work together toward personal goals. Whether clients are processing difficult emotions, practicing new coping skills, or exploring new perspectives, Victoria strives to meet them with empathy, encouragement, and unwavering support.
Her clinical approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and individualized to each person’s unique needs. Victoria incorporates evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, EMDR-informed interventions, Sand Play Therapy techniques, and Play Therapy Techniques when appropriate. She believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to counseling and works collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that promote emotional wellness, build effective coping skills, and foster lasting growth.
Victoria’s goal is to provide a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe to share their experiences without fear of judgment. Through validation, supportive feedback, unconditional positive regard, and evidence-based interventions, she partners with clients to help them gain insight, develop resilience, and create meaningful change. She is committed to empowering clients with the tools and confidence needed to navigate life’s challenges both inside and outside of the therapy room.
Victoria is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, allowing her to connect with and support clients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Victoria is a Clinical Staff Therapist with Genesis Counseling and is in-network with United Healthcare, Optum, Oscar, Cigna, Aetna, FL Blue (BCBS), Curative, Quest, and Tricare East. She also accepts private pay clients, with session rates ranging from $175 to $225.
