Michelle Kopchinsky, RMHCI

Clinical Staff Therapist (13+)
Pembroke Pines

Michelle is a warm, compassionate, and client-centered psychotherapist dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life transitions, relationships, and emotional healing. She supports children, teens, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, burnout, stress, self-esteem challenges, attachment and relationship concerns, parenting difficulties, substance use, bipolar disorder, psychosomatic concerns, and patterns that may be getting in the way of personal growth and self-discovery.

Her approach is grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy, with a Master’s degree focused in the field, as well as training in Motivational Interviewing (MI) and trauma-informed care. She also holds certifications in trauma from METIV, psychosomatic disorders from UDLA, and dream interpretation from UDLA.

Michelle believes therapy should be a space built on safety, trust, warmth, and authenticity. She creates an environment where clients feel genuinely heard and understood, while also being thoughtfully challenged to explore patterns, develop emotional intelligence, and move toward meaningful change. Her work is grounded in empathy, cultural sensitivity, effective communication, and a deep respect for each client’s unique story and healing process.

Michelle is a Clinical Staff Therapist with Genesis Counseling and is in-network with United Healthcare, Optum, Oscar, Cigna, Aetna, FL Blue (BCBS), Curative, Quest, and Tricare East. She also accepts private pay clients, with session rates ranging from $125–$175 per session.
