Monica Gallino, LCSW, has been an integral part of Genesis Counseling since 2022, providing expert mental health care in our Coral Springs office and virtually throughout Florida. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, EMDR-certified therapist, Qualified Supervisor, and the Student Intern Clinical Supervisor for Nova Southeastern University, guiding future clinicians as they enter the field of mental health.

With over 15 years of experience, Monica has worked in outpatient, in-home, residential, and group therapy settings, helping clients navigate addiction and recovery, depression, anxiety, unresolved trauma, and behavioral challenges. She specializes in working with adults ages 25-55, offering compassionate and effective therapy for body image concerns, disordered eating, childhood trauma, self-esteem, and anxiety disorders. She is also deeply committed to supporting victims of traumatic events and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

As an EMDR-certified therapist, Monica integrates trauma-informed care into her practice, helping clients process past experiences and develop healthier coping strategies. She utilizes a holistic and client-centered approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Psychoeducation, Strength-Based Therapy, Talk Therapy, Music Therapy Techniques, and Mindfulness Practices. Monica believes in treating the whole person—mind, body, and soul—allowing clients to access emotions, heal trauma, and reach optimal well-being.

She has also found family and support system involvement to be a powerful factor in the healing process, helping clients build stronger connections and long-term resilience.

As an Independent Contractor with Genesis Counseling, Monica is in-network with United Healthcare, Optum, Cigna, Aetna, Florida Blue / BCBS, Quest and TriCare. She also offers private pay sessions, with fees ranging from $175–$225.
