Rhonda Taassa, MSW, RCSWI

Rhonda Taassa is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern in the state of Florida. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University. Rhonda takes a strengths-based, client-centered, and trauma-informed approach to therapy, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.

Rhonda enjoys working with children, preteens, adolescents, adults, and families, with a particular interest in children and adolescents. She has experience supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, emotional regulation challenges, behavioral concerns, self-esteem, social and peer difficulties, family changes, life transitions, grief and loss, trauma, ADHD, and stress management.

In therapy, Rhonda values building trust and connection, creating a safe and nonjudgmental space, and helping clients recognize their strengths. She believes therapy is a collaborative process and works alongside clients to identify goals, develop practical coping skills, and build confidence in their ability to create meaningful change.

Rhonda incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, DBT-based skills, and mindfulness techniques based on each client’s individual needs. She focuses first on establishing trust and rapport before collaboratively identifying goals and practical tools to support the therapeutic process. Her training includes trauma-informed care and DBT skills. She also holds a School Social Work Certification and is currently completing additional training toward certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Rhonda brings warmth and openness to her work, shaped by her own interest in personal growth and spirituality. She believes healing can involve understanding not only our challenges, but also our strengths, values, relationships, and sense of purpose. She is also interested in continuing her studies in Narrative Therapy and the Tree of Life approach.

Rhonda is a Clinical Staff Therapist with Genesis Counseling and is in-network with United Healthcare, Optum, Oscar, Cigna, Aetna, FL Blue (BCBS), Curative, Quest, and Tricare East. She also accepts private pay clients, with session rates ranging from $125–$175 per session.
