Sara Berger, RCSWI

Sara Berger is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern (RCSWI) who earned her Master of Social Work from Florida Atlantic University. She provides therapeutic support to children, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on clients experiencing anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, life transitions, grief, and emotional or behavioral concerns.

Sara’s clinical approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. She is passionate about creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and respected. Sara believes in meeting each client where they are and building a strong therapeutic relationship that encourages growth, resilience, and meaningful change.

In her work, Sara incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed strategies, mindfulness, strengths-based interventions, and play therapy techniques. She uses rapport building and collaborative goal setting to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs and experiences. Sara has completed a course in play therapy and is enrolled in an upcoming EMDR training to further support her trauma-informed care.

Sara’s clinical experience includes working with children ages 5–11 in a school-based setting, as well as older adults in skilled nursing environments. She has supported clients navigating emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges, along with life transitions and grief. Sara also has experience engaging and supporting families throughout the therapeutic process.

Sara’s goal is to help clients feel empowered, supported, and understood as they work toward healing, personal growth, and lasting change.

Sara is a Clinical Staff Therapist with Genesis Counseling and is in-network with United Healthcare, Optum, Oscar, Cigna, Aetna, FL Blue (BCBS), Curative, Quest, and Tricare East. She also accepts private pay clients, with session rates ranging from $175 to $225.
