Vanessa Ravelo, RCSWI

Vanessa is a bilingual Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) with experience providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults, and families across a variety of clinical settings. She specializes in helping individuals navigate anxiety, trauma, panic disorders, depression, adjustment challenges, insomnia, burnout, relationship concerns, life transitions, ADHD, and family-related issues.

Vanessa earned a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity International University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she is passionate about creating a supportive and culturally responsive environment where clients feel empowered to build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and achieve meaningful personal growth.

Her clinical approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Bowen Family Therapy, allowing her to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals. Recognizing the important role faith can play in overall well-being, Vanessa is also comfortable incorporating Christian beliefs and spirituality into the therapeutic process when requested.

Throughout her career, Vanessa has supported individuals and families facing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges, including children with special needs receiving Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. Her professional experience includes work in nonprofit organizations, medical centers, and private practice settings, serving clients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.

Vanessa has collaborated closely with primary care physicians and psychiatrists to develop comprehensive treatment plans that address both mental and physical well-being. These experiences have strengthened her commitment to increasing access to quality mental health care and helping individuals overcome barriers to achieving emotional wellness and lasting growth.

Vanessa  is a Clinical Staff Therapist with Genesis Counseling and is in-network with United Healthcare, Optum, Oscar, Cigna, Aetna, FL Blue (BCBS), Curative, Quest, and Tricare East. She also accepts private pay clients, with session rates ranging from $175 to $225.
