Benita Agoado, RCSWI

Benita Agoado is our Intake Specialist and is compassionate and skilled Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern in Florida, providing high-quality mental health care to individuals and couples virtually throughout the state. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University and is actively completing her hours toward full licensure.

As an experienced therapist, Benita specializes in working with individuals facing substance use disorders, learning disabilities, and special needs, while also supporting couples in strengthening their relationships through evidence-based practices.

Benita is EMDR certified and integrates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) into her sessions to help clients process trauma and emotional distress. She is also Gottman Level 1 Trained, allowing her to incorporate research-based interventions to help couples improve communication, rebuild trust, and deepen emotional connection. In addition, she utilizes approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and expressive therapies, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of her clients. Her holistic approach fosters self-awareness, emotional resilience, and effective coping strategies, guiding individuals and couples toward meaningful personal growth.

Her warm and collaborative style allows clients to feel supported as they navigate life’s challenges. She believes in creating a nonjudgmental, empowering environment where clients can explore their emotions, strengthen their relationships, and develop the skills needed to improve their mental well-being.
