Lauren Fisher, LMHC

Lauren Fisher, LMHC, has been a valued member of Genesis Counseling since 2022, providing compassionate, client-focused therapy in our Coral Springs office and virtually throughout Florida. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the Clinical Director for the Coral Springs office, Lauren works with clients across all ages—from young children to older adults—tailoring her therapeutic approach to meet each individual’s unique needs.

Lauren earned dual Master’s and Educational Specialist degrees in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Florida, equipping her with a strong foundation in evidence-based therapy. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is essential for healing and personal growth, ensuring that each client feels heard, supported, and empowered.

In addition to her broad clinical expertise, Lauren has specialized training in Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and EMDR  approaches she often integrates when working with children and adolescents to promote emotional expression and processing in a developmentally supportive way. Her clinical experience includes working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, ADHD, life transitions, relational and family issues, and LGBTQ+ and identity-related concerns.

Lauren has been in private practice for several years, where she has helped clients process life’s challenges through an individualized, strengths-based approach. She values open communication, collaboration, and flexibility, ensuring that each session is thoughtfully tailored to the client’s unique goals and needs.

As an Independent Contractor with Genesis Counseling, Lauren is in-network with United Healthcare, Optum, Oscar, Cigna, Aetna, FL Blue (BCBS), Curative, Quest, Medicare, and Tricare East. She also accepts private pay clients, offering reduced and sliding scale rates ranging from $175–$225.
