Melissa Ringel, RMHCI

Melissa Ringel is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern at Genesis Counseling, offering compassionate and evidence-based therapy at our Delray Beach office and virtually throughout Florida. She earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from National Louis University in 2001 and brings over two decades of experience working with children, pre-teens, teens, and families in both school and outpatient settings.

Melissa specializes in treating anxiety, depression, emotional stress, and behavioral challenges in children and adolescents. With a strong foundation in elementary and middle school environments, she understands the unique pressures young clients face and works closely with families to create a supportive path forward. She also offers therapy for adults navigating life transitions, stress, and relationship concerns.

Her therapeutic style is warm, empathetic, and collaborative. Melissa utilizes a tailored approach that draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client-Centered Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She is also certified in crisis intervention and is passionate about helping clients develop age-appropriate coping skills, emotional regulation strategies, and a deeper sense of confidence and resilience.

At Genesis Counseling in Delray Beach, Melissa creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to grow. Her work is guided by the belief that trust, empathy, and acceptance are the foundation for meaningful therapeutic change.

Melissa is an Independent Contractor with Genesis Counseling and is in-network with major insurance providers, including United Healthcare, Optum, Cigna, Aetna, Florida Blue (BCBS), and TriCare. She also accepts private pay clients with a session fee range of $125 to $175.
