Monica Gallino, LCSW, QS

Monica Gallino, LCSW, has been an integral part of Genesis Counseling since 2022, providing expert mental health care in our Coral Springs office and virtually throughout Florida. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, EMDR-certified therapist, Qualified Supervisor, and the Student Intern Clinical Supervisor for Nova Southeastern University, where she mentors and supports future clinicians entering the mental health field.

With over 15 years of clinical experience, Monica has worked in outpatient, in-home, residential, and group therapy settings, guiding clients through challenges including addiction and recovery, depression, anxiety, unresolved trauma, and behavioral issues. She specializes in working with adults ages 25–55 and offers compassionate care for body image concerns, disordered eating, childhood trauma, self-esteem, and anxiety disorders. Monica is also deeply committed to supporting victims of traumatic events and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Monica brings additional expertise in couples counseling, having completed Gottman Method Level 1 Training, a highly researched and evidence-based approach for strengthening relationships. She helps couples improve communication, rebuild trust, and deepen emotional connection while navigating conflict in healthy, constructive ways.

As an EMDR-certified therapist, Monica integrates trauma-informed care to help clients process past experiences and build effective coping strategies. Her holistic, client-centered approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Psychoeducation, Strength-Based Therapy, Talk Therapy, Music Therapy Techniques, and Mindfulness Practices. She believes in treating the whole person—mind, body, and soul—to foster healing, growth, and resilience. Monica also emphasizes the importance of family and support system involvement, helping clients and couples strengthen connections that sustain long-term well-being.

As an Independent Contractor with Genesis Counseling, Monica is in-network with United Healthcare, Optum, Oscar, Cigna, Aetna, FL Blue (BCBS), Curative, Quest, Medicare, and Tricare East. She also offers private pay sessions, with fees ranging from $175–$225.
