Christina Song, “Christy,” is a dually licensed therapist, LMFT and LMHC, in the state of Florida, working in Boca Raton, Coral Springs, Delray Beach and virtually throughout the state. Christy is a Clinical Lead on our Clinical Leadership Team for Coral Springs. Christy is a Qualified Supervisor. Christy was born and raised in San Antonio, TX where she obtained her master’s degree in Psychology from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2016. She then pursued her master’s degree in Psychology focusing on Family, Couples, and Individual Psychotherapy from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Tx, in 2018.
Christy has a great deal of experience working in a variety of settings such as; Kendall County Women’s Shelter, Crisis Text Line, Rape Crisis Line, Henderson Behavioral Crisis Stabilization Unit, Department of Juvenile Justice, Camelot Community Care, Recovery First and Brief Therapy Institute. Christy’s wide range of opportunities to counsel couples, families, children, adolescents, and adults. She has knowledge in many areas including PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety, self-esteem, burnout, multigenerational challenges, sexual assault, human trafficking, life transitions, and grief. Christy has experience collaborating with members of the queer identity through all stages of their identity exploration and acceptance. She is also informed in various relationship practices including monogamous and alternative styles, such as polyamory, kink, long-distance, and open relationships.
Christy has been in private practice for several years and has identified her specialty as working with clients ages 20-40. She has found success in working with and treating Mood Disorders, Family Relationship Issues, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Sexual Trauma, LGTBQ+/Trans/Poly.
Christy is an eclectic therapist using techniques form evidence-based theories such as collaborative therapy, solution-focused therapy, Bowenian therapy, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), expressive therapies such as art and play, narrative therapy and family therapy. She believes in supplying a safe and judgement free space for her clients to process and work through any struggles they may be facing.
Christy Song is dually Licensed as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in both Texas and Florida. She is an Independent Contractor with Genesis Counseling. Christy is In-Network with the following insurance panels: United Healthcare, Optum, Cigna, Aetna, FL Blue, BCBS, Humana and TriCare. Christy accepts private pay clients with a fee range of $175-225.
