Joelle Cohen is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in the State of Florida, proudly serving as an independent contractor at Genesis Counseling’s Delray Beach location and virtually throughout the state. Joelle graduated with her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Barry University. She is working toward completing her licensing hours. Joelle is passionate about working with young adults, particularly women and girls from high school age and up.

Joelle employs various therapeutic approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Self-Compassion, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She incorporates psychoeducation around effective coping skills and strategies to support her clients. Her areas of clinical experience and training encompass anxiety, depression, OCD, and family issues.
Joelle’s goal is for clients to feel that they can fully open up and use the therapeutic space to create lasting changes in their lives. She strives to make her clients feel supported and prioritized, assisting them in reaching their goals. Her focus on self-compassion helps clients learn more about themselves through a collaborative and holistic approach. Joelle has experience working with individuals and families, and she has also worked in group therapy and school settings.
Outside of her professional work, Joelle enjoys engaging in mindfulness practices, exploring nature, and spending time with loved ones. Her dedication to holistic well-being is reflected in her therapeutic practice, where she aims to help clients achieve balance and fulfillment in their lives.
Joelle is a Master’s Level, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in the State of Florida. She is an Independent Contractor with Genesis counseling. Joelle is able to see clients with the following insurances; United Healthcare, Optum, Oscar, Cigna, Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Florida Blue, Humana and Tricare East. Joelle accepts private pay clients and is able to offer a reduced or sliding scale fee for private pay clients with a range of $125-$175.
