Renée Rivers, M.Ed., RMHCI, is a dedicated and compassionate Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in Florida, who graduated from Florida A&M University with a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Renee provides services out of our Coral Springs office and virtually throughout the State. Specializing in working with clients who have experienced sexual trauma and assisting young adults with adjustment issues, Renée is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals to heal and navigate the challenges of transitioning into adulthood.
In the therapeutic setting, Renée values the genuine connection and trust that develop between therapist and client, which create a safe space for open and honest communication. She is passionate about helping clients overcome trauma, gain insights into their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and empower them to make positive changes. Renée also enjoys enhancing clients’ communication skills, particularly in family and couples therapy, appreciating the collaborative nature of the therapeutic process.
Renée’s clinical approach focuses on creating a supportive space where clients feel comfortable exploring their concerns. She employs Trauma-Focused Therapy to aid clients in healing from traumatic experiences, uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address negative thought patterns and behaviors, and integrates Person-Centered Therapy to ensure clients feel understood and accepted. Her areas of training include anxiety, depression, substance use, and trauma (PTSD).

Renee is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in the State of Florida. She is an Independent Contractor with Genesis Counseling.
