Vanessa Ravelo is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern who provides a warm, emotionally attuned, and compassionate space where clients can feel safe, understood, and supported. She works with women of all ages, families, and teens ages 11–18, with extensive experience working with children ages 7–16. Vanessa is passionate about helping clients better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, and break free from unhealthy emotional and relational patterns.

Vanessa believes therapy begins with creating a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. She values approaching each client with compassion and empathy, particularly when they are experiencing emotional pain or difficult life circumstances. She also finds meaning in helping families and individuals restore and strengthen their relationships.

Her clinical approach is warm, curious, insight-oriented, and focused on understanding the person beyond their symptoms. Vanessa draws from Family Systems, Person-Centered Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Psychodynamic approaches. She works collaboratively with clients to explore the emotional and relational patterns that may be affecting their thoughts, behaviors, and relationships.

Vanessa has experience working with children, teens, families, older adults, and children with special needs. Her areas of clinical experience include ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, social anxiety, conflict resolution, spirituality, domestic violence, and experiences of rejection. She particularly enjoys helping children and their parents improve their relationships while supporting individuals in developing greater self-understanding.

Vanessa earned her B.S. in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in 2018 and her M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity International University in 2025. She is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in Florida (IMH 28125).

Vanessa is a Clinical Staff Therapist with Genesis Counseling and is in-network with United Healthcare, Optum, Oscar, Cigna, Aetna, FL Blue (BCBS), Curative, Quest, and Tricare East. She also accepts private pay clients, with session rates ranging from $175 to $225 per session.
