Sofia Miranda-Pasqualini, APRN, is a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides compassionate, individualized medication management for children, adolescents, and adults. She strives to create a warm, judgment-free environment where clients feel heard, understood, and supported throughout their mental health journey.
Sofia’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Florida, a Master of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition from Florida International University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Florida Atlantic University, and a post-graduate certificate in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing. Her previous experience in neurology and gastroenterology informs her holistic approach to care, recognizing the connections between physical health, nutrition, lifestyle, and mental well-being.
Sofia has experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, OCD, autism, and other mental health concerns. She also works with individuals experiencing challenges related to body image, executive functioning, grief and loss, neurodivergence, social anxiety, self-esteem, and school or college-related stressors. Her approach emphasizes understanding each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals while developing an individualized plan of care.
Sofia’s approach is collaborative, patient-centered, and evidence-based. Her work incorporates medication management and psychoeducation, with supportive strategies informed by cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, person-centered care, and solution-focused techniques. When working with children and adolescents, she also values collaboration with families to help provide meaningful, appropriate support.
Sofia believes effective mental health care begins with trust, respect, and genuine connection. She considers the whole person rather than focusing solely on symptoms or diagnoses, empowering clients to take an active role in their care. Her goal is to help each individual build resilience, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward meaningful improvements in mental health and overall well-being.
