Cassandra obtained her Master of Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Intern in the state of Florida, working in Boca Raton, Coral Springs, Delray Beach and virtually throughout the state. Cassandra is currently working towards completing her licensure hours. She enjoys working with a wide range of clients from adolescents to adults.
Cassandra has diverse experience working with children, adolescents, teens, adults and couples across multiple settings. She is a former opera singer, music coach, gym owner, women’s body image group facilitator and addictions specialist. Cassandra beings her knowledge and experience into her practice.
Cassandra values a therapeutic relationship built on trust, non-judgment, and empathy. She creates an environment where clients feel safe to explore and process life’s stressors. Cassandra believes that at the root of most issues is unhealed past emotional wounds. She works with anxiety, depression, emotional behavioral issues, addiction, relationship issues and LGBTQ+ population. Her goal as a clinician is to meet clients where they are and work collaboratively on their healing journey.
Cassandra’s professional interests are Interpersonal Trauma, Grief, Disordered Eating, Body Image, Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Creative Therapeutic Expressions, Identity Development and more. Her therapeutic style is informed by an integrative, eclectic approach, using evidence-based practices such as Solution Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and utilizing Attachment-based insight on a foundation of Person-Centered Theory to help clients gain autonomy and agency in their lives.
Cassandra is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in the State of Florida. She is an Independent Contractor with Genesis Counseling. Cassandra is In-Network with the following insurance panels; United Healthcare, Optum, Oscar, Cigna, Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Florida Blue, Humana, TriCare East. Cassandra accepts private pay clients and is able to offer a reduced or sliding scale fee for private pay clients with a range of $125-$175.
