Liza Arango-Kadrie is a proud graduate of Florida International University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a certification in Women and Gender Studies. Liza Arango-Kadrie then pursued her master’s degree in Social Work and is completing her hours toward licensure. Liza is a bilingual Registered Clinical Social Work Intern in the state of Florida, working in the Coral Springs office and virtually throughout the state.
Liza is certified in EMDR. She has been in private practice for several years and has identified her specialty as working with clients ages 30-60. She has found success in working with and treating clients who have suffered from domestic violence, clients who are dealing with grief, specifically the loss of a parent, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)/trauma, and clients/families of Hispanic or Spanish decent. Liza is Spanish speaking and can conduct sessions in Spanish. Liza enjoys working with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, self-esteem and members of the LGBTQ+ population.
Liza takes a holistic and collaborative approach when treating her clients. She wholeheartedly believes in an individual’s self-determination and utilizes the client’s strengths to empower and guide her clients in overcoming their life’s challenges and achieve their goals. Liza has worked with clients in an individual, group and family setting. Liza is well versed in treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Psychoeducation and her most recent passion for Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Liza has worked with clients in an individual, group and family setting.
Liza is a Master’s Level, Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern with the state of Florida and is an Independent Contractor with Genesis Counseling. She is In-Network with the following insurance panels: United Healthcare, Optum, Oscar, Cigna, Aetna, BlueCrossBlueShield, Florida Blue, Humana and Tricare East. Liza accepts private pay with clients and can offer a reduced or sliding scale fee for private paying clients with a range of $125-$175. She is available for both in-person and online counseling. Liza offers sessions in both English and Spanish.
