Tracey graduated from Nova Southeastern University with her Masters in Mental Health Counseling. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida, working in Boca Raton, Coral Springs, Delray Beach and virtually throughout the state. Tracey has diverse experience working with adolescents and adults across multiple settings. Tracey specializes in working with Individuals, couples, families and adolescents.
Tracey values the therapeutic relationship as an important component of therapy. She believes the relationship between therapist and client should be built on trust and mutual respect, thus providing a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. Tracey walks alongside her clients as they work through their challenges and difficulties. She builds a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients to allow for the actual work to take place by helping them gain insight into their thoughts and behaviors, develop coping skills and make positive changes in their lives.
Tracey takes an integrative approach, pulling from multiple clinical theories, such as Cognitive Behavioral, Person Centered, Solution Focused and Strength Based. She tailors an individualized treatment for each client that she is working with. Tracey’s goal in therapy is to promote healing, growth and change, while working with clients collaboratively to identify their specific needs and goals. She believes that through therapy, clients can learn to change problematic behaviors or patterns in their thinking. Clients can learn new skills and coping strategies, develop greater self awareness, and make positive changes in their lives.
Tracey works with adolescents and adults who struggle with mental and behavioral issues. This may look like: withdrawal or avoiding social interactions, difficulty concentrating, changes in school/work performance, extreme irritability, difficulty sleeping, overall drastic changes in mood, behavior, or personality. Tracey specializes in treating eating disorders. She has experience helping those who come to therapy for support on family relational issues/transitions, anxiety, attention deficit and hyperactivity, behavioral problems, and depression. Tracey creates a safe and open space where her clients can feel comfortable exploring their emotions and behaviors.
Tracey Segal is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida. She is an Independent Contractor with Genesis Counseling. Tracey is In-Network with the following insurance panels: United Healthcare, Optum, Cigna, Aetna, FL Blue, BCBS, Humana and TriCare. Tracey accepts private pay clients with a fee range of $175-225.
